Job Description
As an Android Tech Lead you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Android developers to design develop and maintain highquality mobile applications. You will play a key role in driving the technical direction of our Android projects ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced leaders who are passionate about technology mentorship and driving innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Android developers providing guidance mentorship and technical expertise to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Define technical architecture design patterns and development standards for Android applications ensuring scalability maintainability and performance
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product managers designers and QA engineers to define project requirements prioritize tasks and deliver solutions that meet business objectives
- Drive the development lifecycle from planning and estimation to implementation testing and deployment ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
- Conduct code reviews provide constructive feedback and enforce coding standards to maintain code quality and consistency across projects
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in Android development and advocate for their adoption as appropriate
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues identify root causes and implement effective solutions
- Foster a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous improvement within the development team
- Mentor and coach team members providing support guidance and opportunities for growth and development
- Serve as a technical point of contact for stakeholders providing updates on project status risks and opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field
- 6 years of professional experience in Android application development with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role
- Expertise in Java and/or Kotlin programming languages
- Strong understanding of Android application development frameworks architecture patterns and best practices
- Experience with Android SDK Android Studio Gradle and related tools
- Proven track record of leading successful software development projects from concept to delivery
- Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
