Job Description:
- Demand Planning in SAP APO: Configure implement and optimize the SAP APO Demand Planning (DP) module to accurately forecast demand and support supply chain operations.
- Forecasting: Lead the demand forecasting process ensuring that forecasted demand aligns with business requirements market trends and historical data.
- Integration with Other SAP Modules: Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration of Demand Planning with SAP modules such as SAP ERP SAP MM SAP SD and SAP PP for effective endtoend supply chain management.
- Collaborative Planning: Work closely with Sales Marketing and Supply Chain teams to gather input align on assumptions and incorporate demand insights into the forecasting process.
- Optimization of Forecasting Models: Continuously improve forecasting accuracy by optimizing statistical models incorporating machine learning algorithms where appropriate and adjusting planning parameters to reflect realtime changes in demand patterns.
- Reporting & Analysis: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track forecast accuracy demand variability and other relevant metrics. Provide analysis to support decisionmaking and strategic planning.
- Exception Management: Identify and manage demand planning exceptions including changes in demand patterns product launches and external factors that may affect forecasts.
- System Enhancements: Recommend and implement improvements to the SAP APO DP system ensuring it is continuously optimized to meet changing business needs and demand planning best practices.
- User Training & Support: Provide training support and documentation for users of the SAP APO DP system to ensure effective utilization and adoption of the solution across the organization.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with supply chain procurement and production teams to ensure alignment of demand plans with supply capabilities inventory levels and production schedules.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in SAP APO with a focus on Demand Planning and Forecasting.
- SAP APO Expertise: Strong handson experience in configuring supporting and optimizing SAP APO DP including knowledge of key features such as planning books key figures data views and forecast models.
- Demand Planning Knowledge: Indepth understanding of demand forecasting statistical modeling and planning processes in a supply chain environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze demand trends market insights and historical data to drive better forecast accuracy.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with SAP APO integration with other SAP modules like SAP MM SD and PP; experience with advanced forecasting techniques and tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with crossfunctional teams and senior management.
- Project Management: Experience in managing or participating in SAP APO implementation or upgrade projects.
- Certifications (preferred): SAP certification in APO or Demand Planning would be an advantage.
