Job description
We are looking for a Research Associate to join our research team and contribute to highimpact projects in the food industry. As a Research Associate you will play a crucial role in designing and executing experiments while supporting the development of innovative solutions. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and collaborate on projects that drive the transition to a more sustainable food system. Key Responsibilities
Conduct handson microbiological work with a wide range of microorganisms.
Optimize and design workflows to evaluate food safety and determine the shelflife of food products.
Manage multiple industry projects simultaneously collaborating with partners to address their specific needs.
Record analyze and communicate experimental findings through detailed reports for internal and client use.
Work closely with the team to develop and implement advanced R&D projects that push the boundaries of food safety and sustainability.
Handle general lab management tasks including ordering supplies and managing stock.
Profile
Essential
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of handson lab experience in microbiology with a background in managing and executing multiple projects.
Education: A scientific degree in food microbiology or a related field.
Skills:
Strong technical lab skills preferably in food microbiology
The ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
Proven organizational skills for managing project data and reporting.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Adaptability: Must enjoy working on a variety of tasks and be flexible in taking on new challenges.
The candidate must be fluent in English both written and oral as it is the primary language used for communication within our team and with our international partners.
Desirable but not required
Experience with working with a wide variety of microorganisms is an added value.
