About the Role:
Are you a talented Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for HVAC and Plumbing System design for commercial buildings We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will focus on optimizing layout to reduce installation costs while delivering the design intent. This role involves designing and modeling mechanical systems producing fabricationlevel detail drawings and working closely with the project management team to enhance estimating accuracy and procurement efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Design and model HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial buildings focusing on optimizing layout to reduce installation costs while maintaining design intent.
- Produce fabricationlevel detail drawings for duct work piping and associated supports.
- Collaborate with the project management team to generate bill of material lists for mechanical systems increasing estimating accuracy and procurement efficiency.
- Work with project management and field teams to create advanced work packaging for efficient field workflows.
- Collaborate with the layout team to generate dimension plans and point plans for the installation of sleeves and hanger inserts using a robotic layout station.
- Write and edit specifications to match project needs.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 4 years of engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer License PE
- Working knowledge of duct and/or pipe systems and associated fittings.
- Experience in detailing using 3D software (CAD & Revit).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windowsbased applications; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced team environment with strong written and verbal communication skills.

3+ years of experience as an MEP l Estimator within commercial HVAC mechanical estimating. Proven background in estimating, understanding of sales, and budgeting for commercial/industrial HVAC projects ($5MM+). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and online GC software. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and knowledge of electrical systems as pertaining to VRF, VAV, Split Systems, Packaged units, DDC, Controls, DOAS, ERVs, and hot/chilled water systems.

Universal EPA - preferred not required
