Supply Chain Head

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership
   

   • Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy aligning it with the company s shortterm and longterm business objectives.
     
   • Lead and drive key supply chain initiatives ensuring continuous improvement in efficiency cost reduction and service excellence.
     
   • Establish and communicate clear supply chain goals ensuring alignment with other departments such as Sales Marketing Finance and Operations.
     

2. EndtoEnd Supply Chain Management
   

   • Oversee the procurement production inventory management logistics and distribution functions to ensure a seamless supply chain from endtoend.
     
   • Design and manage demand planning forecasting and supply planning processes to ensure timely availability of products while optimizing inventory levels.
     
   • Manage the network of suppliers manufacturers warehouses and distribution channels to meet customer demand at the lowest cost.
     

3. Supplier & Vendor Relationship Management
   

   • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers manufacturers and service providers.
     
   • Negotiate contracts and terms ensuring costeffective and timely procurement of goods while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
     
   • Regularly assess supplier performance ensuring compliance with SLAs quality standards and ethical sourcing practices.
     

4. Inventory & Warehouse Optimization
   

   • Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing holding costs obsolescence and stockouts.
     
   • Ensure efficient warehouse management including space utilization stock rotation and order fulfillment processes.
     
   • Implement inventory control systems to track and manage stock levels reducing waste and improving product availability.
     

5. Logistics & Distribution Optimization
   

   • Oversee transportation management ensuring efficient and costeffective delivery to customers and distribution centers.
     
   • Optimize the supply chain network considering transportation modes warehouse locations and delivery schedules to improve lead times and reduce costs.
     
   • Lead efforts to manage thirdparty logistics (3PL) providers and ensure effective transportation planning and delivery execution.
     

6. CrossFunctional Collaboration
   

   • Collaborate with Sales Marketing Finance and Operations teams to ensure the supply chain strategy supports overall business goals and customer requirements.
     
   • Provide input into product launch planning ensuring that supply chain processes are ready to meet market demand.
     
   • Align supply chain decisions with broader business initiatives such as sustainability goals costcutting measures or technological advancements.
     

7. Technology and Data Analytics
   

   • Lead the adoption and integration of supply chain technologies (e.g. ERP WMS TMS) to enhance operational efficiency visibility and decisionmaking.
     
   • Leverage data analytics to monitor performance metrics (KPIs) such as ontime delivery inventory turnover and customer satisfaction.
     
   • Continuously improve the supply chain using datadriven insights to identify trends opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
     

8. Risk Management & Compliance
   

   • Identify and mitigate risks across the supply chain such as supply disruptions logistics bottlenecks or quality issues.
     
   • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements industry standards and corporate policies across the supply chain function.
     
   • Develop contingency plans and business continuity strategies to respond to unforeseen disruptions.
     

9. Team Leadership & Development
   

   • Lead mentor and develop the supply chain team providing direction support and professional development opportunities.
     
   • Foster a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement within the supply chain department.
     
   • Establish performance objectives and track team performance to ensure high standards of service and operational excellence.
     

10. Cost Management & Budgeting
    

    • Develop and manage the supply chain budget ensuring that costs are controlled while maintaining high service levels.
      
    • Identify costsaving opportunities through process improvements supply chain optimization and vendor negotiations.
      
    • Monitor financial performance including cost of goods sold (COGS) inventory carrying costs and transportation expenses.
      

Requirements

Key Requirements

• Education:
  

  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Logistics or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
    

• Experience:
  

  • Minimum of 810 years of experience in supply chain management with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role ideally within the FMCG or consumer goods sector.
    
  • Proven experience in managing complex multifaceted supply chains and leading crossfunctional teams.
    
  • Experience with largescale procurement demand planning inventory optimization logistics and distribution management.
