Job Description

The Shift Engineer has the responsibility of taking complete care and maintenance of all the mechanical equipment in the hotel including high and lowpressure boilers guest rooms and equipment related to engineering.

What you will be doing:

  • Attend to all guest issues in 340 guest rooms in the hotel. 
  • Support Rooms Maintenance personnel in project works in guest rooms.
  • Take temperature readings of all supply air units concourse tenant spaces meeting rooms restaurants guest rooms converters walkin freezers and refrigerators Identifying any issues to rectify.
  • Complete walkthroughs in all areas of the hotel to visually inspect repair and/or report deficiencies.
  • Complete maintenance of all other engineering equipment such as Chiller/Cooling equipment Boilers Guarded Status and the Pool.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a holder of a Provincial 5th class power engineering ticket from the Department of Labour.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in a 4th class power plant which includes a high pressure boiler.
  • Working knowledge of a Centrifugal chiller is an asset.
  • Must be willing to learn.
