Job Details:
Define the roles and responsibilities of the Housekeeper within a longterm care facility. The purpose is to maintain a safe orderly and clean environment free of obstacles and odors.
Essential Duties
Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including
lobby restrooms drinking fountains and floors.
Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
Clean and remove dust dirt or food off walls mirrors windows light fixtures. towel bars towel dispensers.
Empty trash cans and replace liners.
Sweep and mop floors.
Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions.
Maintain housekeeping carts equipment and storage areas in a safe sanitary clean and orderly manner.
Notify the Director of Housekeeping Administrator or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished. Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.
Excellent timemanagement skills.
Ability to work independently or with a team.
