Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

1. Selling Home Products or Services

  • Promote and sell home products, services, or solutions to customers, including home appliances, furniture, home improvement materials, or real estate properties.
  • Demonstrate features and benefits of products or services to customers, offering tailored recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
  • Conduct in-home consultations or virtual meetings to assess customer needs and propose the right solutions.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets set by the company or department.
  • Engage in upselling or cross-selling of related products or services to increase sales revenue.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through follow-up calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Provide a high level of customer service throughout the sales process, from the initial inquiry to post-sale follow-up.
  • Resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively, ensuring a positive customer experience and high satisfaction levels.
  • Offer expert advice on product features, pricing, and warranties to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Maintain a customer database and track customer interactions and sales activity.

3. Product Knowledge and Expertise

  • Stay informed about the latest home products, trends, and industry developments to provide customers with accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Attend product training sessions and stay knowledgeable about features, specifications, and benefits of home products being sold.
  • Offer expert guidance to customers regarding installation, maintenance, and warranties of products, if applicable.

4. Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Identify and generate leads through various sales channels, including referrals, networking, digital marketing, and direct outreach.
  • Conduct outreach to potential customers and follow up on inbound leads generated through advertising, promotions, or marketing campaigns.
  • Qualify leads by assessing customer needs and determining which products or services would be most appropriate.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective customers and ensure timely follow-up and conversion into sales.

5. Sales Presentations and Negotiations

  • Conduct personalized sales presentations, either in person or virtually, to demonstrate products and services.
  • Handle customer objections and negotiate prices or terms to close sales while maintaining profitability.
  • Work with customers to tailor solutions to meet their specific needs, whether through customization, financing options, or product bundles.
