Job Description

Job Title: Vice President of Finance (Construction Industry) (Eng B2/C1) (Esp C2/C1)

Location: Santo Domingo Dominican Republic

Department: Finance

Reports To: President

Direct Reports: Accounts Payable Manager Financial Manager Treasury Manager Warehouse Manager Country Administrative Manager

Objective of the Position:

Lead plan and strategically align the Treasury Accounts Payable Financial Management and Warehouse functions including tax and budgetary matters to maximize profitability and safeguard all company assets. As a member of the executive team drive the companys financial strategy provide insights for key decisionmaking and ensure sustained financial health in line with the organizations goals and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute financial goals for short medium and longterm planning ensuring alignment with corporate strategies.
  • Promote and implement efficient financial systems to economically optimize all company activities and improve the effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Develop communicate and enforce finance policies that foster continuous improvement in financial processes and business practices.
  • Analyze financial performance indicators and devise strategies to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure tax compliance while leveraging incentives effectively and maintain uptodate knowledge of regulatory changes affecting the construction industry.
  • Oversee financial resource allocation in collaboration with Accounts Payable prioritizing expenditures according to company policies and strategic needs.
  • Approve and present comprehensive financial reports to the President including financial statements and analyses for strategic planning.
  • Supervise budget creation and execution monitor company cash flow and ensure alignment with business growth objectives.
  • Develop cost reduction strategies and track the progress of initiatives to improve financial efficiency.
  • Guide the evaluation and professional development of the finance team ensuring alignment with company objectives and promoting career growth.
  • Define and manage operating budgets focusing on effective cost control and optimal use of company resources.
  • Oversee affiliated company operations ensuring financial compliance and alignment with corporate standards.
  • Manage financial investments and provide monthly reports to the President offering strategic insights for maximizing returns.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of all taxrelated obligations.
  • Strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve service quality and support operational needs.
  • Ensure adherence to the companys code of ethics and promote a culture of transparency and integrity across the finance department.

Requirements:

  • Education:

    • Bachelors in Accounting Business Administration or related fields.
    • Masters Degree in Business Administration Accounting Finance or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years in similar senior financial roles including project management taxation financial accounting and budgeting within the construction industry.
    • Experience at an executive level leading crossfunctional finance teams.
  • Skills:

    • High proficiency in English and Spanish capable of conducting complex negotiations and presentations in both languages.
    • Strong command of Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and accounting software such as SAP.
    • Proven ability in strategic planning and financial decisionmaking within a construction environment.
  • Competencies:

    • Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a highpressure environment.
    • Strong problemsolving and adaptability skills with an emphasis on developing innovative financial solutions.
    • Excellent communication negotiation and conflict management abilities.

    • Strong skills in team leadership supervision and career development guidance.

Estimated Salary Range: USD $13000 $15000 per month depending on experience and qualifications.
