Job Summary:
The Vice President of Administration in the construction sector is responsible for leading administrative operations with a focus on legal compliance human resources management process improvement and technology implementation. This role ensures that all administrative functions are strategically aligned with the companys objectives optimizing efficiency and promoting a safe compliant and highly effective work environment. As a senior executive this position will play a critical role in driving operational success and providing leadership across departments to support companywide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Compliance and Management:
- Ensure that the company complies with all applicable regulations and laws within the construction sector.
- Supervise and manage contracts permits and necessary legal documentation for operations.
- Maintain active relationships with external legal advisors and assist in resolving legal or regulatory disputes.
Human Resources:
- Lead the planning development and management of Human Resources policies.
- Oversee recruitment selection and hiring of key personnel in administrative and construction areas.
- Foster a safe and healthy work environment by managing wellness occupational safety and talent development processes.
- Develop strategic HR initiatives to improve employee retention performance and organizational culture.
Process Improvement and Efficiency:
- Identify areas for improvement in administrative and construction processes implementing efficient and sustainable practices.
- Lead projects focused on optimizing resources time and materials aiming for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement in administrative and operational processes.
Technology and Digitalization:
- Promote the use of technology to optimize administrative and communication processes within the project.
- Evaluate and implement technological solutions that facilitate project tracking resource management and automation of administrative tasks.
- Champion digital transformation initiatives to improve company efficiency and datadriven decisionmaking.
Financial and Budgetary Oversight:
- Supervise budget compliance and resource allocation according to company needs.
- Collaborate with the finance department to monitor expenses ensuring proper fund management.
- Develop strategies for cost optimization and ensure alignment between budgets and overall company goals.
Interdepartmental Communication and Coordination:
- Facilitate communication between operations human resources legal and technology departments.
- Act as a liaison between administration and senior management ensuring alignment of objectives and strategies.
- Represent the administrative department in executive meetings providing insights and updates on operational initiatives.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Law Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- Masters Degree or specialization in construction management human resources or technology is highly preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior administrative roles preferably within the construction sector.
- Extensive experience in Human Resources particularly in talent management organizational development and occupational safety.
- Experience in legal compliance and contract management in the construction industry.
- Proven track record in process improvement and project management utilizing methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
- Executivelevel leadership experience in a construction environment.
- Skills:
- High proficiency in English and Spanish capable of conducting complex negotiations and presentations in both languages.
- Knowledge of technological solutions for administration and project management in construction.
- Strong leadership skills effective communication and decisionmaking abilities.

Estimated Salary Range: USD $13000 $15000 per month depending on experience and qualifications.
