As a Data Security Analyst youll play a critical role in safeguarding the sensitive data that drives complex civil engineering projects across the nation. This position focuses on securing proprietary designs operational plans and client information from cyber threats. While this role is mainly remote occasional onsite visits may be required for key project reviews and team collaboration. What Youll Do:
- Safeguard Project Data: Implement and manage robust security protocols to protect sensitive engineering data project schematics and client information.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify vulnerabilities in our systems especially those related to field and project site data and develop actionable mitigation plans.
- Develop Customized Security Policies: Create tailored security frameworks that address the unique challenges of civil engineering operations and infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with project managers engineers and IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated seamlessly into workflows.
- Monitor and Respond: Continuously monitor systems for potential breaches and swiftly coordinate response efforts when necessary.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Keep all security practices aligned with industry regulations and federal standards particularly those impacting civil infrastructure.
- Train and Support: Educate team members on cybersecurity best practices fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 3 years as a Data Security Analyst or in a similar cybersecurity role ideally within engineering infrastructure or industrial sectors.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in network security encryption methods firewall management and vulnerability assessment tools. Experience with cloud security platforms (Azure AWS) is a plus.
- Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of federal cybersecurity regulations and industry standards particularly those relevant to infrastructure projects.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problemsolving abilities. You can translate complex security concepts into clear guidance for nontechnical teams.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology or a related field. Relevant certifications (CISSP CISM CEH) are highly valued.
- Flexibility: Willingness to make occasional onsite visits to project locations with travel requirements kept to a minimum.
