What Youll Do:
- Technical Support: Assist engineering teams in designing testing and implementing civil infrastructure projects. Translate complex schematics into actionable plans.
- Vendor Coordination: Source materials and equipment from approved vendors ensuring quality and costefficiency. Build relationships with suppliers to support timely project delivery.
- OnSite Assessments: Conduct occasional site visits to monitor project progress inspect materials and verify compliance with specifications. Collaborate with onsite teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Data Analysis: Collect analyze and interpret project data to identify trends and provide actionable insights. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Quality Assurance: Perform inspections and tests on materials and equipment ensuring they meet engineering standards and project requirements.
- ProblemSolving: Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the design and implementation phases. Work collaboratively to develop innovative solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers project managers and procurement teams to ensure projects stay on track. Provide clear concise technical support and updates.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 3 years as an Engineering Technician preferably in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with engineering software (AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar). Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and materials.
- Vendor Management: Experience sourcing materials and working with vendors. Ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships.
- ProblemSolving Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally for onsite visits and vendor assessments.
- Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology Civil Engineering or a related field. Certifications in relevant technical areas are a plus.
