Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Excellence:
Perform mammographic imaging procedures ensuring patient comfort and adherence to safety protocols. Educate patients about the procedure and provide compassionate care throughout their visit. - Technical Expertise:
Administer contrast when necessary accurately position patients and apply appropriate imaging techniques to produce highquality diagnostic images. - Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular quality checks on mammography equipment and assist in maintaining accreditation standards (e.g. ACR). - Operational Support:
Enter and manage patient data promptly report equipment malfunctions and contribute to the smooth operation of the department. - Team Collaboration:
Mentor less experienced staff serve as a resource for the team and take emergency call responsibilities as needed. - Professional Growth:
Pursue continuing education and meet competency requirements to stay current in your field.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Graduate of an approved Mammography Technology program.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS/ALS).
- Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) license or temporary license.
- Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRTR).
- Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRTM).
Experience/Skills:
- Ability to lift/maneuver patients as needed.
