Job Description:
Our company is an electrical power industry manufacturer of Medium Voltage Switchgear and a leader in breaker life extension. We design and build electrical equipment for utilities companies throughout the USA. Our Citadel breaker is growing at a rate that requires experienced staff accountant. We are seeking talented creative ambitious eager to learn organized deadline and detailoriented individual to join our accounting department.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Review financial statements for accuracy
- Balance sheet account reconciliations
- Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns
- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets liabilities and expenses)
- Reconcile bank and loan statements
- Payroll reconciliations and backup for payroll clerk
- Conduct monthend and yearend closures
- Prepare documents for audits
- Report to the CFO and work to improve financial processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required
- At least 5 years experience in accounting or a related field
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to details
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient in Quick Books or other accounting software
- Knowledge of ADP software
- Accounting: 5 years (Required)
