Job Description
1. Leading all Electrical Engineering activities including design work based on standard company and other procedures.
2. Understanding of Telecommunications Industry Association TIA942B Standard for Data Centers.
3. Preparing Basis of Design for Data Center Master Plan Concept and Schematics.
4. Conducting detail engineering including preparation of Load list load balancing and maintaining redundancy in case of power failure.
5. Preparing SLD Power distribution Equipment Layout as per NBC/CEIG/Electricity Rule Cable tray / Earthing layout.
6. Preparing design calculations for sizing the major electrical equipment and familiar with ETAP calculations.
7. Conducting Lightning protection calculation.
8. Guiding a team of designers in 2D / 3D electrical engineering reviewing 3D models layouts and MTOs.
9. Estimating cost of Electrical Package.
10. Handling procurement activity for Electrical items.
11. Reviewing vendor drawings and electrical content for mechanical packages.
12. Participating in client discussions and managing client relationships.
13. Ensuring timely completion of designs requisitions and engineering deliverables.
14. Providing technical guidance to Electrical Engineers and Designers.
15. Adhering to Department/Discipline Working Instructions and Quality Systems.
16. Overseeing work progress and workhour usage.
17. Working within company manhours and budgets.
18. Maintaining longterm relationship with client and addressing clients feedback and complaints.
19. Monitoring work progress in compliance with project requirements and schedule.
20. Coordinating with other disciplines/groups for information and document exchange interface definition and problem resolution.
21. Addressing site issues effectively and ensuring competent staff availability for site troubleshooting.
22. Attending Design Engineering Management Review Meetings.
23. Visiting sites for residual engineering / resolving site queries.
24. Coordinating with various stakeholders for effective engineering management.
25. Training engineers.
26. Conducting inspection of electrical equipment.
27. Knowledge of Electrical codes and standards IS/ IEC standards 3D engineering and proficiency in review of 3D models using Navisworks is mandatory.
28. Experience in Electrical Engineering for Data Center.
29. B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical.
30. 5 to 10 years of experience with at least 5 years as Lead Electrical Engineer in Data Center projects.
31. Experience in multi office execution for Global projects.
