Job Position: Vacancy for Quantity Surveyor in Ilupeju Lagos State.
Location: Ilupeju Lagos
Job Type: FullTime
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Ilupeju. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects ensuring value for money while achieving the required standards and quality.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related field.
- Membership with a recognized professional body is an advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying preferably in construction or engineering projects.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in cost management software (e.g. AutoCAD MS Excel or other QS tools).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good knowledge of construction processes materials and legal regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials time and labor costs.
- Manage project finances including valuations variations and cost control.
- Liaise with architects engineers and contractors to determine project specifications.
- Analyze and evaluate tenders and proposals from contractors and subcontractors.
- Prepare and manage bills of quantities (BOQs).
- Monitor ongoing project costs and report variances against budget.
- Advise on procurement strategy and contractual matters.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and adherence to budgets.
