Job Description
Job Title: Kubernetes/OpenShift Administrator
Location: Remote
Start Date: January 2025
End Date: March 29 2025 (with possible extension)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Potential for overtime weekend work and travel)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes/OpenShift Administrator to join our team in managing and optimizing containerized application deployments. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise in container orchestration platform management and cloudnative application deployment. This role involves automation troubleshooting and close collaboration within an agile environment.
Primary Duties:

Deploy manage and scale Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters 25%.

Configure manage and monitor containerized applications running on Kubernetes or OpenShift 20%.

Automate cluster provisioning configuration and deployment pipelines using tools like Ansible Terraform and Helm 25%.

Integrate Kubernetes/OpenShift with CI/CD deployment tools like Jenkins Maven GitHub 15%.

Document and troubleshoot issues with containerized applications 15%.
Required Skills/Level of Experience:

Managing and administering Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters 7 years.

Proficiency in scripting languages (KSH Bash Python) 6 years.

Proficiency in infrastructureascode tools (Terraform Ansible) 6 years.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines GitOps practices (Jenkins GitLab Maven) 6 years.

Indepth knowledge of networking in containerized environments load balancing network policies and ingress/egress traffic 6 years.

Strong problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex problems 7 years.
Nice to Have Skills:

Red Hat OpenShift certification or Kubernetes certification.
Clearance Requirements:

Active Public Trust clearance is acceptable. IRS MBI clearance is preferred. Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizenship is required.
