The Opportunity
Were seeking a Mid to Senior Level Associate to join one of our esteemed clients in their Labor & Employment Department in California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex employment law matters involving both litigation and advice and counseling with a particular focus on California employment laws and regulations.
What Youll Do
- Litigate Employment Law Cases: Represent employers in matters involving discrimination retaliation harassment wrongful discharge wage and hour disputes and class actions.
- Advise and Counsel Clients: Provide strategic advice to employers on compliance with California employment laws and other workplace issues.
- Draft and Advocate: Prepare and review legal documents pleadings and motions while building compelling legal arguments.
- Collaborate and Build: Contribute to the growth of a nationally recognized Labor & Employment practice working alongside a team of dedicated professionals.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience:
- At least five years of experience representing employers in employment law matters with two years specific to California.
- Strong background in wage and hour law discrimination retaliation harassment wrongful discharge actions and class action litigation.
- Education: J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Bar Admission: Admission to the California Bar is required.
- Skills:
- Superb writing drafting and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex litigation and provide sound legal advice.
- Mindset: Ambition drive and a teamoriented approach to client service and practice development.
Your Skillset
- Employment Law Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of Californiaspecific employment laws and regulations.
- Litigation Experience: Strong track record of handling complex litigation including wage and hour disputes and class actions.
- ClientCentered Approach: Commitment to delivering exceptional legal solutions tailored to employer needs.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to work effectively within a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of a national practice.
