Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Spray Painter to join our manufacturing team. As a Spray Painter you will apply coatings to products and surfaces with precision ensuring quality and consistency in a fastpaced manufacturing environment. Experience in an auto body shop or similar setting is a plus. The ideal candidate has a steady hand strong attention to detail and is committed to maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Operate spray painting equipment to apply paints coatings or finishes to products.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning sanding and masking to ensure proper adhesion.
  • Mix and match paints or coatings to achieve the desired color and finish.
  • Inspect workpieces for defects or irregularities and ensure a consistent highquality finish.
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of spray equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to apply coatings evenly and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Safely handle and store paints chemicals and cleaning agents according to safety guidelines.
  • Monitor drying and curing times to ensure coatings meet specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to 5S or lean manufacturing principles.
  • Operate forklifts or material handling equipment to move parts or products as needed.
  • Complete necessary production or inspection reports accurately and on time.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators and gloves.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and making adjustments as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in spray painting in a manufacturing or auto body shop environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with paint mixing application techniques and finishing processes.
  • Ability to operate and maintain spray guns compressors and other painting equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for handling paints solvents and cleaning agents.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic math skills to calculate mixing ratios and coverage estimates.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
