Job Description
Our Client based in Pietermaritzburg is actively recruiting. If you are passionate about mechanics experienced in yellow metal machinery and looking for a new challenge for 2025 we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform diagnostics maintenance and repairs on dieselpowered yellow metal equipment such as excavators bulldozers graders loaders and other heavy machinery.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues on heavyduty equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively to identify faults.
- Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs services and parts usage.
- Complete job cards and service reports in a timely manner.
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure all work areas and tools are kept clean and safe.
- Work collaboratively with operators engineers and other team members
- Provide technical support and training when required.
