Job Description
BAG MACHINE OPERATOR (Mobeni)
The Bag Machine Operator is responsible for setting up operating and maintaining the shopper bag manufacturing machine. This role ensures the production of highquality bags by monitoring operations troubleshooting issues and adhering to safety and efficiency standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Setup and Operation:
- Prepare and configure the Shopper Bag Machine for production runs based on job specifications.
- Load raw materials (paper plastic or biodegradable sheets) and adjust settings like bag size thickness and print options.
Quality Control:
- Monitor bag production to ensure output meets quality and dimensional specifications.
- Perform periodic inspections to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct routine maintenance including lubrication part replacement and calibration.
- Quickly troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
Production Monitoring:
- Track production metrics such as speed quantity and material usage.
- Ensure timely completion of production orders while reducing material waste.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to workplace safety standards and machine operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation to prevent hazards.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with supervisors and quality control teams to meet production goals.
- Document operational logs machine performance and maintenance activities
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Two years experience working on a Fangbang Bag Machine (or similar Chinese Bag Machine model)
- Be computer literate
- Must be available to commence work in mid January 2025
RUMUNERATION
Market Related (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
