The Opportunity
Were seeking an experienced Advertising Marketing & Promotions Associate or Counsel to join one of our esteemed clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to advise businesses across diverse industries on advertising marketing and promotional campaigns. Youll contribute your expertise to navigating complex regulatory landscapes while supporting innovative and impactful strategies for a wide range of clients.

What Youll Do

• Advise with Expertise: Provide counsel on advertising marketing and promotional campaigns for compliance with state federal and international laws.
• Draft and Negotiate: Prepare agreements related to ad agencies influencers celebrity endorsements sponsorships online media buying and more.
• Analyze and Review: Ensure ad copy complies with laws regarding false advertising claim substantiation intellectual property and publicity rights.
• Counsel for Compliance: Offer guidance on contests sweepstakes price advertising subscription programs loyalty/rewards programs and other marketing initiatives.
• Support Legal Defense: Represent clients in disputes including false advertising unfair competition and National Advertising Division matters.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience: At least seven years of relevant experience in advertising law consumer protection law and marketing transactions.
• Education: J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Skills: Exceptional legal writing communication and attention to detail.
• Mindset: Collaborative approach with the ability to thrive in both group settings and independently.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a large or medium law firm hybrid work environment availability and admission to the Washington State Bar (preferred but not required).

Your Skillset

• Marketing and Advertising Law: Deep understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Contract Expertise: Proven ability to draft review and negotiate a wide variety of agreements related to marketing and promotions.
• Strategic Counseling: Experience in advising clients on loyalty programs subscription models and pricing strategies.
• Dispute Resolution: Knowledge of false advertising unfair competition and National Advertising Division procedures.
