Job Description
Role: SAP AVC consultant
Location: Mountain View CA
position: Contract
Performed Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) lead/Architect role.
- Support projects from the preconcept stage to obsolescence.
- Design implement and enhance product configurator ensuring seamless configuration processes.
- Work with the client team to support the varying degrees of customization and production strategies for different types of products.
- Assembletostock. Assembletoorder (ATO)
- Support fixed product features that can be preplanned and ordered at high volumes
- Configuretoorder (CTO) builds
- Engineeringtoorder (ETO)
- Involved in multiple design discussions on OTC and PTP processes including
- master data setup Intercompany and Intracompany variant pricing and CTO/MTO product costing.
- Handson utilization and AVC product modeling on S/4 HANA
- Implemented SAP Activate methodology particularly completing FIT/GAP analysis tasks and activities in the Explore phase.
- Defined VC scope baseline of configurable product model
- Identified documented and prioritized gaps and additional scope items.
- Creating bills of materials (BOM) based on input from engineering manufacturing and project management.
- Provide support to the client team dealing with complex products and a platform or variantbased
- gotomarket strategy on product configuration management that drives better product development alignment efficiency and coordination across engineering manufacturing and services.
- Managing change requests: Initiating and managing ECOs MCOs deviations and stop ships
- Staying up to date on industry trends best practices and emerging technologies.
