Job Description
Role: Exterior Trim Launch Engineer
Location Casa Grande Arizona
Job Description:
o Design of automotive Exterior trim component parts in CATIA V5
o Launch support of automotive exterior component parts in manufacturing plant
o Excellent product knowledge of Exterior trim components (Bumper Cladding Spoiler Door exterior trim Front Grill Garnish Mudguard Emblem)
o Check the quality of components and identify defects if any
o Find the root cause of product issues and provide temporary countermeasure
o Work with cross functional team in the plant to find a permanent solution / design fix for ongoing issues
o Create a CAD proposal in Catia V5 and conduct change management
o Collaborate with key exterior system and plastic component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and production build events
o Responsible for technical documentation to include DFMEAs DVP&Rs Requirements
o Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive exterior / bumper components and subsystem
o Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
o Perform feasibility and packaging study
o Indepth knowledge of Plastic tooling
