- Evening Shift 10hour shifts or five 8hour shifts.
- No on call expectation or weekend coverage.

We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Cardiac Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing echocardiograms (ultrasound examinations of the heart) and assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. You will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic images ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms (2D Doppler and color flow ultrasound imaging) to assess cardiac function structure and hemodynamics.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process answering questions and positioning them correctly.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment ensuring image quality and troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound images to detect abnormalities in the hearts structure and function.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to discuss findings and assist with patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate patient records document test results and complete required reports.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and infection control policies during patient interactions.
- Provide compassionate care and ensure patient comfort before during and after procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification (e.g. from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International CCI).
- Proven experience as a Cardiac Sonographer preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy physiology and pathophysiology.
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and analyzing echocardiographic images.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with advanced echocardiographic techniques (e.g. 3D imaging strain imaging).
- Experience with vascular ultrasound is a plus.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred.
