Location: Dearborn Mi /hybrid (Currently 1 day a week which is on Wednesdays but subject to change)
Job Description:
PDO The Data Software Engineer position will involve design implementation testing and launch of new applications for loading dealer data and generating analytical insights.
The position requires a strong foundation in Big Data with knowledge of Python and SQL query language.
The primary focus involves the migration of data landing and transformation jobs from Hadoop to Airflow (Astronomer) and BigQuery.
The software engineer will work closely with IT team members and Business Owners to understand various business processes and apply this knowledge to design and implement solutions.
Skills Required:
Python SQL
3 years experience with ETL solutions
3 years experience of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
3 years experience SQL/Oracle/Teradata
Ability to lead and mentor associate engineers
Ability to clearly communicate with peers business stakeholders and subject matter experts
Skills Preferred:
Strong Analytical skills
Experience with Airflow (Astronomer)
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with BigQuery
Education Required:
B.S. Information Systems Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the requested field
