Job Description
Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Fort Yates ND 58538
Start Date: Nov 2024
Duration: 12 Months (Options for 26 weeks Contract)
Shift Schedule: 12/hr 8hr 10hr Days and Nights (weekends and holidays)
Qualification:
Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse license in a state
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care for ambulatory and inpatient patients of all ages with various medical conditions.
- Perform nursing tasks such as dressing changes urinary catheter insertion and administering medications immunizations and nebulizer treatments.
- Collect data on patients health status using established assessment skills to identify healthcare and nursing needs.
- Monitor and assess changes in patients conditions implementing appropriate interventions or reporting to supervising RNs.
- Identify and report critical health issues such as changes in consciousness fever shortness of breath and reactions to medications.
- Educate patients on basic procedures and equipment use including crutch walking and specimen collection (urine sputum stool).
