Job Description

Job Title: Electronic Records Management (ERM) Specialist

Location: Fairfax Virginia (Onsite)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Identify classify archive preserve and destroy records in accordance with county policies and industry standards.
  • Utilize document management and imaging products such as EMC Documentum Captiva Laserfiche and opensource products to manage records.
  • Design and improve business processes related to the efficient and systematic control of electronic records.
  • Ensure proper creation receipt maintenance and disposition of electronic records.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture and retain information about business workflows transactions and the systems supporting these processes.
  • Support the integration of electronic records management systems with complementary technologies and solutions.
  • Maintain records retention schedules and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legal requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 24 years of experience in electronic records management with a strong understanding of document management and imaging products.
  • Proficiency with tools such as EMC Documentum Captiva Laserfiche or similar systems.
  • Experience designing business processes for electronic records control preservation and disposition.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic record classification archiving and destruction best practices.
  • Ability to manage the retention of information related to business workflows and transactions.
  • Experience in records management compliance standards and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with opensource document management solutions.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to improve records management processes.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for records retention and disposition.
