Job Description
Role: Senior Architect and Project Manager
Location: Oakton VA (Onsite)
Duration: Fulltime
Company Overview: We are a wellestablished architectural firm in Oakton Virginia offering an exceptional growth opportunity for an experienced Architect. Our firm specializes in master planning and design services for a diverse range of clients including religious educational and institutional entities as well as restaurants banks and commercial projects. With a 50year history of delivering innovative design solutions in both renovation and new construction we have built a loyal client base many of whom are repeat clients. As we prepare to join forces with a multistate firm with offices in Florida and Ohio and projects nationwide we are searching for the right Architect to lead the design management and operations of our Virginia office.
Position Overview: The ideal candidate will be a selfmotivated experienced Architect capable of managing all aspects of project development from initial design through occupancy. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role within our firm and potentially grow into a future ownership stake.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Leadership: Lead marketing efforts to secure projects in Virginia Maryland DC and West Virginia expanding our client base and reinforcing our reputation for excellence.
- Project Management: Lead both local and remote project teams in the creation of highquality projects that meet client expectations.
- Client Relationship Management: Nurture and maintain strong client relationships ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Coordination: Direct and coordinate the work of engineering teams and other consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
- Budget and Deadline Management: Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Technical Expertise: Apply indepth knowledge of construction methods detailing specification writing building code interpretation and construction administration to all projects.
- Communication: Possess superior communication and writing skills with the ability to respond effectively to client needs and collaborate with team members.
Office Management: This role also involves managing the operations of the Virginia office working closely with our main office in Florida to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture.
- Licensure: Licensed Architect in Virginia (Licenses in West Virginia and Maryland are a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of architectural experience with a strong background in project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit AutoCAD and 3D modeling/rendering.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel Outlook).
- Legal Work Status: Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
