Job Description:
The Client is seeking a skilled Corporate Controller to oversee the accounting operations of our company. This role involves supervising key financial processes including accounts payable accounts receivable bank reconciliations and payroll. The Controller will play a crucial role in the development and growth of our accounting team and must possess expertise in multistate tax configuration and auditing processes for weekly monthly and yearend reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation: Develop and maintain an accounting system with procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with local state and federal government requirements. Implement controls to minimize risk.
- Reporting: Oversee the production of financial reports ensuring they adhere to accounting principles and guidelines. Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary information. Produce annual reports budgets and forecasts.
- Financial Performance Review: Manage the accounting budget and system with low risk providing financial analysis on capital investments pricing decisions and contract negotiations as needed.
- Leadership: Manage and lead the accounting department including conducting annual performance evaluations providing guidance and initiating disciplinary actions when necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting
