Job Description:
As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the automation update and upgrade of our software development and release processes. You will work closely with our development and project management teams to ensure high availability scalability and reliability of our applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust update and upgrade strategies for our software systems.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using cloud services (AWS Azure GCP) and tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Ensure the security and compliance of our DevOps processes and tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes and improve software quality.
- Participate in oncall rotations to provide support for production issues.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python Ruby Go etc.).
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible Chef Puppet).
- Understanding of networking concepts and experience with cloud services.
- Ability to work with databases and data storage solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.
- 13 years of experience in a DevOps role.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in AWS
- Familiarity with security best practices and tools (e.g. HashiCorp Vault Jenkins security plugins).
