Elder Abuse Attorney
Career Consulting Partners is partnered with a successful Injury law firm that has over 300 5star reviews on Google providinglegal representation to clientsacross 40 cities throughout California and a staff of 40 employees. We are in search of an experienced Elder Abuse Attorney to grow the department.We are open to both plaintiff and defense attorneys.You must be able to travel throughout all of California to attend court hearings and depositions litigate trials and conduct arbitrations. Prior experience is crucial.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- A strong background in handling cases involving elder abuse neglect and financial exploitation with a commitment to advocating for the rights of vulnerable individuals.
- Represent clients in cases of elder abuse including physical emotional and financial abuse neglect and abandonment.
- Conduct thorough investigations interviews and case analyses to develop comprehensive litigation strategies.
- Draft legal documents including complaints motions briefs and settlement agreements.
- Appear in court for hearings mediations and trials as necessary.
- Collaborate with clients families medical professionals and expert witnesses to build strong cases.
- Provide legal counsel to clients and their families explaining rights options and potential outcomes.
- Stay updated on changes in California elder law and relevant statutes including the Elder Abuse and Dependent Adult Civil Protection Act (EADACPA).
- Negotiate settlements or pursue litigation to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 yearsexperience in elder abuse personal injury orcivil litigation
- Excellent organizational skills and time management are a must.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines while multitasking and working in a fastpaced environment is necessary.
- Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing
- Juris Doctor (JD) Degree
- Demonstrated knowledge of California elder abuse laws including EADACPA.
- Experience working with elder care facilities healthcare providers or government agencies.
- Familiarity with related areas of law such as trust and estate disputes or financial fraud.
