Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Executes and helps implement improvements to test plans. Provides feedback to customer on modifications outcomes or issues.
Helps select specialized test equipment and performs setup as well as loading and running complex programs or builds.
Performs complex calibration maintenance and upgrades of test equipment and tools according to standards and procedures.
Identifies issues with test equipment and performs complex repairs.
Manages execution of test methodologies for various technology adapting established procedures based on unique testing needs and documents results.
Identifies debugs and troubleshoots complex testing issues or failures and recommends root causes and implements solutions.
Conducts and manages analyses and gathers information to identify where an issue has occurred and makes recommendations for how to address the issue.
Collaborates with individuals inside and outside of own function to integrate projects and/or ensure changes work with other components of a specific project.
Communicates across teams to provide status and information about impending obstacles and suggests remediation.
Manages team project priorities deadlines and deliverables for small to midsized projects with minimal guidance.
Rescopes projects identifies resources delegates work and reviews the work of team members in order to address changing timelines or priorities.
Note:
Test Technicians will assist test engineers in test labs with the installation implementation and loading and execution of internal test setups and scripts for mobile handset device software testing in the lab. The major impact of this role is inlab support. Test technician would maintain test bench equipment and environment troubleshoot maintain and monitor test set ups in the product test labs. Report issues to leads and / or using standard department systems and software bug tracking databases (Jira etc.) as needed. Help engineers and technical leads resolve issues which may require reproducing issues debugging and running special test software and builds
