Job Title: Advocate Real Estate

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Advocate specializing in real estate law to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of property law excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record of representing clients in real estate transactions and disputes. You will provide legal advice draft and review documents and represent clients in court if necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Consultation:
Provide legal advice and guidance on real estate matters including property sales purchases leases and land development.
Assist clients in understanding their legal rights and obligations related to real estate transactions.
Documentation and Contract Management:
Draft review and negotiate contracts agreements leases and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
Ensure all documents comply with current laws and regulations.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution:
Represent clients in court for real estaterelated disputes such as boundary issues property fraud landlordtenant disputes and breach of contract cases.
Engage in alternative dispute resolution methods including mediation and arbitration.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations at the local state and national levels.
Ensure clients real estate activities comply with all legal requirements.
Client Representation:
Represent clients during negotiations with buyers sellers landlords tenants and other parties involved in real estate transactions.
Work closely with other professionals such as real estate agents surveyors and financial advisors to ensure the best outcome for clients.
Due Diligence:
Conduct thorough due diligence on properties including title searches property assessments and reviewing zoning and land use regulations.
Identify and mitigate any legal risks associated with property transactions.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Law (LL.B) from an accredited institution.
Postgraduate qualification in real estate law or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law with a focus on real estate.
Proven track record of handling complex real estate transactions and disputes.
Skills
Strong knowledge of property law contract law and real estate regulations.
Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously.
Proficiency in legal research and documentation.
Licenses/Certifications:
Must be a licensed Advocate and member of the relevant Bar Association.
Working Conditions:
The role may require travel to meet clients attend court hearings or visit property sites.
The Advocate will work primarily in an office environment but may need to work extended hours to meet client needs or deadlines.
