WIlliamsSonoma is seeking an energetic and talented Lead Full Stack Engineer to join the Ecommerce Engineering organization. This individual will be responsible for a fastpaced team of full stack and backend engineers whose mission is to optimize the purchase experience.
Key Job Functions
- Partner with Product Managers in designing and defining new features
- Lead coach and mentor a team of full stack and backend engineers
- Write code that is of high quality be a champion of coding standards
- Influence the technical direction of the engineering team
- Participate in all planning standup and retrospective meetings
- The expectation is to support offshore as well as physically coming to office in Rocklin CA Monday thru Friday.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related
- 46 years of largescale ecommerce systems experience
- Expert understanding of Typescript Java and web technologies
- An understanding of UI performance and accessibility best practices
- Enthusiasm for constant improvement as a Software Engineer
- Ability to communicate clearly and motivate team members

Description
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Full Stack Lead you will play a critical role in leading the design development and implementation of our software applications. You will guide and mentor a team of developers ensuring that our solutions are robust scalable and aligned with industry best practices.
Technical Leadership:
- Lead the design and architecture of our software applications considering factors such as scalability performance and maintainability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous learning.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools and make recommendations for their adoption based on business requirements and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define technical requirements prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery of highquality solutions.
Backend Development:
- Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java Spring Boot Cassandra Oracle SQL and Kafka.
- Implement data storage solutions and optimize database performance for scalability and reliability.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards best practices and security guidelines throughout the development process.
Frontend Development:
- Lead the development of responsive and intuitive frontend interfaces using Vue.js and Freemarker Web Components.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into functional frontend components.
- Implement frontend features and functionality ensuring a seamless user experience across different devices and browsers.
Project Management:
- Coordinate with product managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and priorities.
- Plan and estimate development tasks and track progress against project timelines and milestones.
- Identify and mitigate risks and proactively address issues that may impact project delivery.
Team Collaboration:
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment where team members feel empowered to contribute their ideas and expertise.
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality maintainability and adherence to coding standards.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and crosstraining among team members to promote skill development and career growth.
Requirement
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with at least 10 years of experience in a leadership or senior technical role.
- Strong proficiency in backend development using Java Spring Boot Cassandra Oracle SQL and Kafka.
- Solid understanding of frontend technologies including Vue.js and Freemarker Web Components.
- Experience with software architecture and design patterns microservices architecture and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail with a focus on delivering highquality solutions on time and within budget.
