Job Description:
- Operating with a moderate level of complexity and autonomy the Solution Architect plays a key role in ensuring that systems and applications adhere to privacy regulations and maintain a high level of security.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Privacy and Security Requirements:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand privacy and security requirements for systems and applications.
- Stay informed about relevant privacy regulations standards and security best practices.
Solution Design:
- Design endtoend solutions that incorporate privacy and security measures.
- Ensure that architectural designs align with organizational policies and compliance standards.
Risk Assessment:
- Conduct risk assessments for proposed solutions identifying potential privacy and security risks.
- Provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks and ensuring compliance.
Privacy by Design:
- Integrate privacy considerations into the design and development processes.
- Advocate for privacy by design principles and ensure that privacy is considered at every stage of the system development life cycle.
Security Architecture:
- Define and implement security architecture for systems including network security access controls and encryption.
- Collaborate with the information security team to implement and monitor security controls.
Data Protection:
- Design and implement data protection measures including encryption data masking and anonymization.
- Ensure that data handling practices comply with privacy regulations.
Compliance Monitoring:
- Establish processes for monitoring and ensuring ongoing compliance with privacy and security requirements.
- Collaborate with audit and compliance teams to address any identified issues.
Documentation:
- Document privacy and security architecture design decisions and implementation details.
- Provide clear documentation to support audits and regulatory assessments.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders explaining privacy and security concepts and requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams and business units to address concerns and provide guidance.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on privacy and security.
- Indepth knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA) and security best practices.
- Experience in designing and implementing secure and privacyconscious architectures.
- Familiarity with encryption access controls and data protection measures.
- Strong risk assessment and mitigation skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of privacy by design principles.
- Certifications in relevant areas of privacy and security (e.g. CISSP CISM CIPP) are a plus.
