  • Joining the Global Network Operations Team to provide technical network active second level troubleshooting of Global Network and Security infrastructures (WAN WLAN LAN VLAN Special Networks NAC Firewalls Proxies Remote Access and Partner Connections) prepare incident reports escalate to relevant parties promptly and follow through the case incidents
  • To provide operational support in the areas of Change and Incident Management run administer and optimize the globalwide Network and security infrastructure
  • To take care of specific network and security infrastructure needs for the Sites that client has in Japan
  • Ensure that operational tickets and projects adhere to corporate security standards Computer Systems Validation & Compliance rules as well as internal working instructions and standard processes.
:
  • Daily check of network devices (approx. 200 network devices across 11 offices/branches and a data center in Japan)
  • Responsible for troubleshooting upgrading installing and all related duties for network devices Decommission of devices and circuits with coordination with local business IPS and external vendors for supporting projects
  • Responsible for global and local projects coordination: Work closely with EU AM and APAC IT team and local Infrastructure department for network related items such as vendor control (quote schedule user coordination for sites) WAN circuit management for sites (opening/closing) equipment management performing connection/application tests after implementation user training and other necessary duties
  • Responsible for Network Access Control solution in APAC region
  • Responsible for WAN operation and implementation as a member of Global Network Operation Center
  • Support Firewall requests from users including checking logs and existing rules
  • Manage wireless access points with wireless controllers
  • As a member in APAC region of Global Network Operation Center. (L2 incident management) responsible for troubleshooting upgrading installing hardware/software for routers switches and all related devices and tools
  • Work closely with other IT Infrastructure team to respond to their network queries
  • Process network related issues and requests via ticketing system configuring devices as necessary
  • Inventory of all Japanese devices on configuration management system and data files
  • After hour and weekend work for planned local/global project work and unexpected issues including business trip
  • Support technologies include:
    Existing L2 and L3 LAN solution
    Traditional and softwaredefined WAN solution
    Wireless LAN solution
    Firewall operation
    VPN solution
    ZeroTrust solution/configuration on network devices for BI users
    Couldbased proxy system operation
    Radius authentication and Network Access Control solution
    Microsoft security solution

  • A Degree in IT Engineering or Computer Science or similar
  • 23 years of handson experience working as network engineer in a large enterprise environment in troubleshooting and configuring network and security devices (WAN LAN WLAN Internet Proxy VPN and Firewalls)
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols EIGRP and BGP MPLS QoS. Good level of knowledge and working experience in Internet working IP routing protocols and troubleshooting MPLS/IP VPN and/or Strong understanding in LAN Cisco technologies WIFI Cisco/Juniper environment
  • Strong understanding of Firewall (PaloAlto) and VPN is a plus
  • Either one of the following certifications: CCNA or CCNP
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and methodologies to deliver high quality support to meet customer needs
  • Fluency in oral and written English and Japanese. Occidental mindset
  • Ability to follow processes and to generate good documentation
  • Collaboration and communication skills. Accountable and highly results oriented. Sense of urgency. Ability to plan and organize work
