Job Description
Piping Design and Modeling: Develop detailed 3D models of piping systems using SP3D based on engineering requirements ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
Isometric and Layout Drawings: Generate piping isometric drawings layout plans and support designs as required for the project.
Coordination with Disciplines: Collaborate with project engineers civil structural and mechanical teams to resolve design clashes and ensure smooth project execution.
Material Specification and BOM Creation: Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and specify materials for piping components adhering to project standards and specifications.
Quality Control: Review and check design deliverables to ensure accuracy quality and compliance with industry standards such as ASME API and projectspecific requirements.
Clash Detection and Issue Resolution: Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts within SP3D coordinating with other departments as necessary.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain project documentation including progress reports design changes and revisions as well as adhering to document control procedures.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
810 years of experience as a Piping Designer with proven proficiency in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D)
Knowledge of piping standards and codes (e.g. ASME ANSI)
Experience in piping design for industries such as Oil & Gas Petrochemical Power or Chemical Plants
Familiarity with other design software like AutoCAD MicroStation and PDMS is a plus
Strong understanding of piping layouts isometrics equipment layout and support design
