Job Description

An outstanding Primary School in Lewisham is looking for a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join their dynamic Early Years team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children. The school places great value on the creativity and enthusiasm of the Reception Teacher to build strong foundations for its youngest learners.

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of Reception students.
  • Create a positive engaging classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore and learn.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of Reception students providing regular feedback to parents.
  • Work closely with the Early Years team to ensure that the reception curriculum is delivered effectively.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes social skills and emotional development in Reception.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute to schoolwide professional development programs.

Requirements:

  • PGCE or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching in Reception or Early Years settings.
  • Excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Passion for supporting young childrens development.
