Position Description | The Enterprise Applications and Operations Manager is responsible for leading a highly technical team of six system administrators and engineers in managing the Arizona State Retirement Systems (ASRS) software and applications. The role involves 75% people management/leadership and 25% handson technical work. The manager ensures compliance with industry standards and best practices overseeing the design development and deployment of missioncritical information systems while fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. | |
Skills Required | Proven leadership and management capabilities. Expertise in overseeing application development deployment and maintenance. Proficiency in AWS Public Cloud Infrastructure and infrastructure as code (e.g. CloudFormation CodeCommit CodePipeline). Strong understanding of multitiered applications automated SDLC pipelines and software quality assurance best practices. Ability to script and automate tasks using languages like PowerShell. Technical fluency in managing infrastructure and software applications (e.g. IBM FileNet Atlassian Jira Kofax). Knowledge of data security/privacy practices and laws. | |

Experience Required | A minimum of five years of people management experience leading technical teams in medium to large enterprise technology environments. Demonstrated success in managing largescale infrastructure and software applications. Handson experience with tools and platforms such as Docker Containers Kubernetes Linux and Windows Server environments and SolarWinds Network Monitoring. | |

Additional Information | Work Environment: Flexible hours within a standard MF 8 AM 5 PM schedule. Primarily remote with occasional inoffice requirements (approximately 10 times/year). Project Term: Temporary position with an estimated duration of 69 months transitioning to a fulltime role upon satisfactory performance. Equipment Requirements: Candidate must provide a personal computer and highspeed internet capable of supporting secure remote desktop sessions. | |
