Job Description: Actuarial Pricing Specialist
Location: Centurion Gauteng South Africa
Job Type: Fulltime
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and optimize pricing strategies for shortterm insurance products.
- Utilize programming and data mining techniques to analyze large datasets for commercial value.
- Leverage various tools and technologies including SQL SAS Python and platforms like Willis Towers Watson Earnix and AKUR8.
- Identify data and rating enhancements to inform and improve pricing models.
- Ensure proper governance on pricing developed and deployed within the business.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to leverage data and analytics in pricing decisions.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of actuarial practices industry trends and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular evaluations of pricing models and strategies to ensure effectiveness.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Sciences or a related field.
- Strong understanding of actuarial principles and shortterm insurance pricing models.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the use of statistical software.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum 5 years and maximum 20 years of relevant experience in actuarial pricing.
- Proven experience in pricing models and application of datadriven strategies.
- Handson experience with programming and proficiency in working with large datasets.
Salary & Benefits:
- Annual Salary: R 600000 R 900000.
