Job Summary:
We seek an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Manager with a strong background in the food industry. The ideal candidate will lead the maintenance team ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of all production and support equipment within the facility. This role will oversee the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs support safety initiatives and manage capital projects. A focus on food safety quality and regulatory compliance is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Leadership:
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and engineers in daily operations.
- Ensure all machinery equipment and systems function optimally with minimal downtime.
- Develop implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Coordinate and execute emergency repairs promptly.

Food Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety regulations such as HACCP FDA and USDA guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain proper sanitation and safety protocols.
- Maintain a working knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes.

Equipment & System Management:
- Oversee the maintenance of production lines packaging equipment refrigeration systems HVAC boilers and wastewater systems.
- Manage spare parts inventory ensuring critical components are available when needed.
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades or replacements to improve operational efficiency.

Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the maintenance department’s budget ensuring costeffective use of resources.
- Identify and implement costsaving initiatives for energy consumption downtime reduction and maintenance efficiency.

Safety & Training:
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety regulations including OSHA standards.
- Provide ongoing training to maintenance staff emphasizing safety food safety protocols and new technologies.

Capital Projects:
- Manage capital projects including new equipment installations facility upgrades and process improvements.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (engineering production quality) to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering Industrial Maintenance or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP FDA USDA etc.).
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Proven experience with equipment such as conveyors packaging machinery refrigeration systems and automated systems.
- Excellent problemsolving organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and projects effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with capital project management.
- Familiarity with energy management and sustainability initiatives.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in a food processing environment which may include exposure to varying temperatures and humidity.
- Occasional weekend or offshift work may be required.
