Job Description
Main Duties.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on various building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical equipment
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in equipment and systems promptly and efficiently
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests from staff and management in a timely manner
- Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruptions
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and inventory using CMMS software
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies
- Assist in the development and implementation of energysaving initiatives
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively
Qualifications :
- Technical Trade School Certification in HVAC Electrical or Plumbing or a relevant bachelors degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in a similar maintenance engineering role
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical equipment
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
- Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to think critically under pressure
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals blueprints and schematics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments
- Flexibility to work overtime weekends or oncall shifts as needed
- Familiarity with energy management systems and sustainability practices (preferred)
- Experience in hotel or hospitality maintenance (preferred)
