Our Mission:
At Terra One we accelerate the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure by developing and implementing innovative solutions. Our primary focus is on developing battery storage a crucial component for establishing a flexible and environmentally friendly power grid. By providing energy when it is most needed we help improve the reliability and efficiency of the power grid while simultaneously reducing CO2 emissions. Equally important to our mission is our AIbased energy trading in the European market which works hand in hand with our battery storage solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Build maintain and optimize data pipelines and workflows to support our machine learning models and trading decisions.
- Develop test and deploy data integration solutions for realtime and batch data processing.
- Collaborate with the ML and trading team to ensure highquality robust data for predictive models and analytics.
- Monitor troubleshoot and maintain the performance and reliability of data infrastructure.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using cloud technologies.
Who Fits Well with Us:
- You have a degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science Information Systems Management (Wirtschaftsinformatik) Environmental Informatics Renewable Energy Mathematics or Industrial Engineeringor equivalent practical experience. Regardless of your specific background a strong focus on software engineering is essential.
- Prior practical experience in data engineering or related fields
- You have a strong handson mentality team spirit communication skills and enthusiasm.
- You grasp concepts quickly and work independently and in a structured manner.
- You are selfreliant can prioritize tasks effectively and have strong organizational skills.
Technical Skills:
- Python and relevant data engineering and data science libraries (e.g. pandas dask airflow)
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud platforms
- Experience with cloudbased data processing tools like BigQuery Cloud Storage or similar
- Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
- Basic understanding of database systems (e.g. SQL MongoDB)
- Familiarity with Git for version control
Preferred:
- Background or interest in the energy market or energy industry
- Familiarity with working in a startup environment
- Based in Berlin or willing to relocate
- Language Requirement: German is not mandatory but familiarity with German energy terms is advantageous.
