Job Description
Job Title: Guidewire Architect
Location: Markham ON (onsite 3 days)
Open for Contract and fulltime role
Job Description:
Guidewire Architect:
- Create solutions and design for Guidewire Insurance platform (Guidewire PolicyCenter GuidewireClaimCenter Guidewire BillingCenter Guidewire Contact Mgr.) based projects to meet Avivas standards for technology and ensure they meet our ambitions for availability security resilience andperformance.
- Produce Guidewire design and migration options with associated costs benefits and risks to enableinvestment decisions.
- Create migration solution to convert the policies from legacy system to Guidewire PolicyCenter
- Work with product owners enterprise architects platform teams and other project colleagues toagree tradeoffs between longterm and shortterm goals.
- Responsible for the integrity of the endtoend Guidewire solution across Platforms includingtransition states used to achieve the target state.
- Shape and estimate IT initiatives and feature team sprints ensuring that component parts deliveragainst business outcomes.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Record any solution debt incurred during the transition phase of the solution and address the same in future phases.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with proposed solutions.
- Develop mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
- Participate in postimplementation reviews and provide feedback to improve future solution designs.
