Position Summary
As an IT Workplace Technology Application Trainer you will be responsible for developing and conducting training programs for various IT applications used within the organization. Your role will involve understanding the functionalities and intricacies of these applications and effectively transferring this knowledge to employees enabling them to utilize these tools efficiently in their roles. You will work closely with the IT department and other stakeholders to identify training needs design curriculum deliver training sessions and assess the effectiveness of the training programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Development:
Collaborate with the IT department and relevant stakeholders to identify training needs and objectives.
Design comprehensive training curriculum for various IT applications ensuring alignment with organizational goals and user requirements.
Develop training materials such as manuals presentations and elearning modules.
2. Training Delivery:
Conduct engaging and informative training sessions for employees at all levels both inperson and virtually.
Customize training content to suit different learning styles and proficiency levels.
Provide handson demonstrations and simulations to reinforce learning.
Offer ongoing support and assistance to trainees during and after training sessions.
3. Evaluation and Feedback:
Implement assessment methods to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
Gather feedback from participants to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to training materials and delivery methods.
Monitor trainee progress and provide additional support or refresher training as needed.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of training sessions attendance and participant feedback.
Prepare reports on training activities outcomes and recommendations for management review.
Document best practices tips and troubleshooting techniques for IT applications and make them accessible to employees.
5. Stay Updated:
Keep abreast of the latest developments and updates in IT applications relevant to the organization.
Continuously enhance personal knowledge and skills through selfstudy attending workshops or pursuing relevant certifications.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
Proven experience in IT training or education preferably in a corporate setting.
Proficiency in various IT applications such as Microsoft Office Suite customer relationship management (CRM) software enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems etc.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to adapt training content and delivery methods to meet the needs of different learners.
Experience with instructional design principles and learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
Patient approachable and enthusiastic about helping others learn and succeed.
