You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Finance Professional with experience in bookkeeping tax returns and compliance. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing financial records ensuring tax accuracy and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles tax laws and industry regulations to help drive financial efficiency and accuracy.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Bookkeeping:**
Maintain and update financial records including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
Reconcile bank statements financial accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Process payroll and ensure accurate recording of employee compensation and benefits.
Prepare periodic financial reports including profit and loss statements balance sheets and cash flow analysis.
**Tax Returns:**
Prepare and file federal state and local tax returns accurately and on time.
Stay uptodate with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Assist in tax planning and strategy to optimize tax liabilities.
Liaise with tax authorities on audits and inquiries when needed.
**Compliance:**
Ensure that the companys financial practices comply with internal policies and external regulations (e.g. SEC GAAP IFRS tax codes).
Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation for compliance audits and inspections.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and data.
Monitor changes in regulatory environments and adapt policies as necessary.
**Qualifications:**
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field.
3 years of experience in bookkeeping tax preparation and regulatory compliance.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of tax laws financial regulations and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
