Job Description
As an API Management and Azure DevOps Engineer you will:
- Support development teams in creating and optimizing APIs.
- Implement API solutions using Azure API Management (APIM).
- Design and maintain RESTful services and integrate APIs with enterprise applications.
- Set up configure and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD.
- Automate build test and deployment processes using Azure DevOps.
- Apply infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like ARM templates Terraform or Azure Bicep.
- Implement security best practices for APIs including OAuth OpenID Connect and JWT.
- Establish API governance policies and ensure compliance with standards.
- Conduct regular security audits and performance optimizations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate integration and DevOps requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide training and support for development teams on API management and DevOps best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve processes.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (advanced degree preferred) with 10 years of overall experience including 5 years in API management and 3 years using Azure API Management.
- Proven expertise in setting up and managing Azure DevOps pipelines and designing RESTful APIs with familiarity in Azure services like Azure Functions Logic Apps and Azure Service Bus.
- Strong knowledge of API security frameworks (OAuth OpenID Connect JWT) and proficiency in API design using Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines version control systems (e.g. Git) build automation and IaC tools like ARM templates Terraform or Azure Bicep.
- Excellent problemsolving communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative and innovative environments.
You should possess the ability to:
- Ensure high availability performance and reliability of APIs.
- Automate deployment workflows for seamless integration of APIs and services.
- Conduct technical troubleshooting for API and DevOpsrelated challenges.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in API management DevOps and cloud computing.
- Lead security reviews and establish API governance standards.
