- Act as an effective interface between Human Resources and the Business by providing HR advisory services and effective front line delivery of HR initiatives and services to assigned business areas in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide advice and counsel to business heads and employees to ensure consistency in the implementation of Human Resources policies processes and practices
- Providing inputs in the creation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for effective performance monitoring and monitor the staff achievements on periodic basis and also liaise with the Performance Management team and line managers to successfully conduct performance appraisals
- Collaborate with the Talent Management team to ensure the development and effective delivery of Talent Management initiatives (such as Buddy programme Performance Improvement Programme Coaching Individual development Plans talent Reviews etc) in business areas
- Partner with Business Heads in conducting organization structure review in line with the Bank s organization design principles and processes
- Liaise with Line Managers to ensure that all jobs within their business areas are accounted for and well defined
- Partner with business heads and Talent Management to develop manpower plans for their respective business areas
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff for business area and ensure that the right staff with the best fit is recruited for vacant roles
- Oversee all employee disciplinary cases and ensure they are treated in line with the Bank s policies
- Ensure prompt implementation of sanctions given to staff from DC proceedings and Credit Recovery
- Ensure prompt processing of leave administration redeployment appointment and other letters for staff as advised by management or business area
- Resolve all employee complaints and ensure prompt conflict resolution between staff and their supervisors
- Conduct regular visits (monthly) to business area offices to check on the staff educate staff on all HR related issues and establish a two way communication between staff and management
- Conduct regular training and capacity building for line managers on people management staff performance coaching and HR programmes
- Ensure divisions/ departments and business offices finalise and submit information relating to manpower planning recruitment needs staff training and development plans performance improvement plans succession planning leave plans and any other required information.
- Close out on all terminations by providing advice and information on employee or management initiated terminations and conducting exit interviews.
- Performing functions for Regional workforce planning and management that is reviewed monthly.
- Keep updated data of headcount new hires terminations transfer and report monthly headcount variance in the region as applicable within SBUs.
- Other assignment given by the Head HRBP
Requirements
Minimum Education Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree
- Additional HR Certification(CIPDSHRM CIPM) or MBA or a relevant Master s degree will be an added advantage
Previous Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years work experience in related role.
- Cognate experience as Human Resources Generalist
