Job Description
Position: Sales Tax Accountant (Accountant Tax)
Location: Melville NY (Hybrid)
Duration: 3 Months
Skills: Multistate sales tax accounting experience CPA Vertex Returns or similar tax management systems required
Description:
- Seeking a Sales Tax Accountant (Accountant Tax) who will be responsible for ensuring compliance obligations are efficient on time and accurate while minimizing the companys sales tax liabilities.
- Prepare review and file sales and use tax returns from Vertex for multiple states to comply with state and local regulations.
Must Have:
- Bachelors degree required (Accounting preferred) CPA helpful
- 35 years of multistate sales tax accounting experience
- Experience researching tax rules and regulations for products and services.
- Proficiency with Vertex Returns or similar tax management systems required.
- Oracle and Tableau experience a plus
- Strong Excel skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and interact well with other.
